The Environmental Awards Celebration will be held on Thursday, April 21, 2016. Please join us for this free, public event from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the Glenwood Club, 3300 Woman’s Club Drive, Raleigh 27612 to celebrate the accomplishments of local environmental advocates. The 2016 keynote speaker is Jennifer Zuckerman, Healthy Living Senior Program Officer of the Blue Cross and Blue Shield of North Carolina Foundation.
The City of Oaks Foundation will present awards for innovative projects in Urban Agriculture, and will make mini-grants of $500 to $1,500 to the winners. Grant recipients will report back this fall with the results of their work.
The City of Raleigh Environmental Awards program, in partnership with the City of Oaks Foundation, is made possible through the generous donations from local businesses that share the vision of environmental stewardship for the Raleigh community. These donations, both monetary and in-kind, make it possible to offer this event at no cost to attendees.
